I should also mention that the highlight of the show was the guy selling wooden plinths at insanely low prices - I picked up 6 for £10, John got a whole tonne for £17. Mad prices. Did anyone notice whether he had a website? Might be worth spreading the news.

I think we all filled up with bases from him, his prices were incredibly low. I got two bases in particular that I would normally have paid double.

Great show, good to see so many from PB

Thanks to all who came along and supported the show - much appreciated by the organisers. Sound slike everyone had a good time. And great to catch up with folk including the FetMeister and Gerry.

My post figureworld purchases as they didn't have the stock on the day. Bought from Sphere products for an absolute bargain. I was misquoted by the 'help' on the day but Jon honoured that price for me when I emailed him so got them at 1/3rd the cost. They're actually quite large, the fig in the 2nd pic is a 70mm scale Knights Model fig. Laser cut mdf but everything is bolted together, no glue needed and they seem pretty good, even at full price.

Yeah that was half an hour playing with my new air brush at Christmas :p. It's only got primer and then a base coat on the top half. I want to use it more often but the compressor + fan are quite noisy plus I'm not allowed anywhere near the kitchen/liveable areas with it which means it's only used in the room next to the little one, so no playing with it at night :(

Quick update for you who were interested in Petes Bases, he is a good pal of mine and member of the model club I frequent so I see him most weeks. He does not have a website as yet and has nothing to do with Dave Armstrong although he did purchase Daves wood stock when he packed in doing bases but I can assure you Pete does turn his own. He is a joiner by trade and recycles a lot of wood from his work, he keeps his costs low as he does not have to buy in the wood to turn and passes this benefit onto the guys who buy his bases keeping them affordable.

He does have an email address so get your size and quantity requirements to him and I'm sure he will sort you out.

    petesbases@yahoo.co.uk

He will be at the Driffield show I'm told.
